Re: A NEW PROOF OF GOD
@uwot I've improved it: A DOUBLE DICHOTOMY PROOF OF GOD 1) A metaphysical dichotomy between the set of all possible states of existence and no states of existence proves that the set of all possible states of existence happens to be the case metaphysically, because our universe is real. 2) A metaphy...

It doesn't matter which version. The point is that a multiverse would mean that in actuality more than one state of existence is real. That supports my metaphysical dichotomy.

Re: A NEW PROOF OF GOD
@HexHammer. It is a proof. Read #2. Do you believe a multiverse is possible?

No. A metaphysical dichotomy is not about reality. It is a metaphysical proof. The constraint is about reality. Read #2.

A metaphysical dichotomy is not a statement of reality. It can't be falsified by reality.
Rather, I think your beef is with #2.
However, then let me ask you this - can a multiverse be real?

A NEW PROOF OF GOD
THE DOUBLE DICHOTOMY PROOF OF GOD 1) A metaphysical dichotomy between the set of all possible all inclusive states of existence and no states of existence proves that no states of existence cannot be the case, because our universe is real. 2) A metaphysical dichotomy between the set of all possible...

Re: A New Proof of God
@Blaggard You are right that true nothingness (TN) is not actualized. You are also right that the actualization of ALL (TE) is nothing like reality. Where you are wrong is in ascribing lack of meaning to these concepts. You no doubt agree that "stuff" is actualized in reality. Therefore, h...

@HexHammer.
Sorry, several people now have understood my proof. You assumed I was referring to this site. I'm not. Try a bit harder, you may get it. Google Plato's Plenitude. That might help with your understanding.

I would like to hear HexHammer explain how science explains why stuff even exists to begin with? LOL!
Ohhhh.........the great flaw of scientism! How dare I point it out!

Thinking of things that only exist in your mind is the basis of the thought experiment. The thought experiment or hypothetical is a valid way of attempting to discern truths. Philosophers, scientists and lawyers use thought experiments all the time.

Re: A New Proof of God
@Wyman. You are apparently having problems with comprehending true nothingness. Try insisting in your mind that nothing exists - no God, no man, no Earth, no matter, no energy, no space, no time, no quantum or Higgs field, no particles, no void, no empty space, and then insist in your mind that this...

Re: A New Proof of God
@Wyman. We both agree that change does not necessarily result in something ceasing to be. Look at it this way. If at the end of the universe there is this lonely photon out in the utter emptiness of space with no friends and no chance of meeting new friends, what happens to the lonely photon? Does t...
