Re: True Story of the Day

Yep, that one was a real doozy, Gary. The second incarceration... this bid was 2 years, and that's AFTER they 'gave me a deal'. And it all began so arbitrarily... Once upon a time in a parking lot far far away, I was living in Ludwig Van (my 95 Chevy Gladiator) with a Walmart parking lot as my regi...

Re: True Story of the Day

@ Prom. Have you applied for Section 8 housing and food stamps? If not, get on that immediately before the inevitable happens and you're scrambling at the last minute to find what you need. See a therapist to get guidance with that. Apply for vocational rehab to get you some work if you can.

Re: True Story of the Day

We should have a look at his chart, maybe. He's in that notorious astrological spot that everyone is fascinated by. The Scorpio Sagittarius cusp. From this knowledge alone, a couple things conform immediately to those sign strengths if you look at em. Intense in appearance and personality... domine...

Re: True Story of the Day

What's happening in this six fuckin hour long interview is called a social dump. A social dump is when an isolated person with ASPD has an opportunity to interact with another person in relaxed circumstances, and he 'pours out' his longing for human affection and attention. Remember, prior to socia...

Re: Would a man be okay with being raped?

(continued) While slow strolling and discovering lifelines between the inner and the outer we found shades of Milton, lost paradise, Adam’s fall from grace coaxed on by Eve, theocratic government blaming the victim, hints of personal revolution along with reach exceeding grasp, and if following lin...

Re: What is gravity?

So if the Earth were the same mass as it currently is but it were the shape of a giant coin, would there still be gravity holding us onto it so that we could walk across the faces of the giant coin-shaped Earth? Or would gravity be skewed to where, walking along one of the broad faces of it, you wou...

Re: How real is 'reality'?

How real is 'reality'... There's a self-contradiction, right there, in the question. It reads, "How REAL is REALITY?" It uses the word "real" two different ways, one objective, and one subjective. The "Holy Trinity" is a self-contradiction also, if there is only one Go...

Promethean's Corner

"59 years old, no family other than my mother, and on psychiatric meds" Yes, but you have a car, right? I'll be surrendering my tags (phone too), if i don't find work by Sept 7. By that date, i will be a bonafide bum lying on a couch day after day after day (as i have been for the last th...

Re: Gary's Corner

Maybe the White House needs to hire psychologists as much as doctors to look after the President? Good idea! And a competency test, as often as needed! And there should be no one over 60 in the Administration or Congress or the Supreme Court -- these need to represent younger generations. And peopl...

Just showing a method to "slow down."

Glad to help.
Thank you for the tip.

Why did you decide to post about yourself, Gary?
Because it's true. Why did you decide to respond to my post in the way you did?

Re: the notion of privilege

Words can be daggers that enforce a hierarchy. But we live in America "the land of opportunity". There's not supposed to be a hierarchy here, at least in theory. Hierarchy requires a 'pecking order'. Where mockery is the weapon of the privileged, solemnity becomes the defense of the less ...

Re: Theories of Consciousness

The fact that everything feels immediately "there" like a virtual reality simulator isn't evidence against an interface—it's proof of how successful evolution was at building one! Why do you feel like you need to describe the lack of an interface in our experiences as an "interface&q...

Did you ask yourself what the About this Forum subforum is about? You didn’t, did you Gary? I asked. But like many others here, I decided to post anyway. Apparently it was an unforgivable sin. Maybe I should have embraced Jesus as my "savior" too. Maybe that's why the world is such a shit...

Re: Gary's Corner

The Republicans are "true" Americans. That's why the Republicans basically rubber-stamped all of Trump's stupid and abominable personal decisions, because they wanted to please the American people to get re-elected instead of acting on conscience and principles. That's really what it comes...
